Review by hotel critic
A stay at L'Empire in Luxembourg offers a mixed bag of luxury and value. The convenience of on-site Asian dining is a nice touch, providing a variety of options for guests. The spacious rooms with amenities such as a fridge, kettle, and large windows add comfort to the stay. However, the lackluster welcome from the receptionist and the separate management of the hotel and bar areas can be off-putting.On the positive side, the establishment offers a decent level of service, including a snack bar and a bar/lounge area for relaxation. The proximity to Luxembourg City is a plus for those looking to explore the city without staying amidst its hustle and bustle. The free toiletries and Wi-Fi are appreciated modern touches. In terms of cost, L'Empire provides a budget-friendly option in an otherwise expensive city, making it suitable for travelers watching their expenses. While it may not offer a top-tier luxury experience, the overall value proposition makes it a viable choice for those looking for a comfortable stay without breaking the bank.
